Vacation and Frustration

Greetings everyone from Fort Myers, Florida, a place where the air is a wonderfully chilling 87º-90º, and tourists aplenty enjoy every bit. Me? No, I hate the heat, I'd rather be in Maine, oh beautiful Maine. But this is vacation, and they say home is where the family is, and my family is here.

I'm enjoying myself, don't worry. All my stress and depression has melted away for this short moment, I really needed this. Though I could do with out temptation of smashing my head into the nearest wall every time my grandmother opens her mouth. I'm not going to speak bad about her, she is my grandma, and I do love her, it's just sometimes--most of the time, she'll drive you to the last nerve, the very last one. Though I'm almost positive that she has ADHD, so I know it's not her fault, but still, the fact that she talks bad about my disabled cousin is something I just can't stand.

See, he has Tourettes and ADHD and something else with his chromosomes, so he tends to do things he just can't help doing. Everyone is always getting on his case for simple little mistakes like forgetting to lock the door or wash his hands. His tic is touching things, and with this epidemic going around, everyone's freaking out and scolding him even more than ever about his habits. He can't help what he does, he needs to do it. It's like having an itch you're not allowed to scratch because people don't want you to. They keep trying to raise him as a normal kid, but he's not normal, however he can live a normal life if only someone would be patient and show support. Show him what he can do, rather than what he can't. If he needs to touch things, then give him a chance to touch things, take him a hands-on museum or something. Once he relives his tic, he'll calm down. Simple. I've tried telling them this, but no one listens to me, oh no.

Anyway, aside from that peeve, I've had a great time so far. I got to fry myself on the beach, I rode an airboat through the Everglades, and held a baby alligator(I have pictures!). I've also experienced the freedom of bike riding that I haven't had in a looooong time. I can't remember exactly what we're going to be doing tomorrow, but I can't wait for the 6th, it's going to be great. See, I promised my brothers that I would make a birthday cake here and eat it in their honor. I love making cakes, and I love eating them even more. Yum, cake batter... I also got to have Dippin' Dots for the first time. <3

Hah, isn't it funny how I talk more about my frustration than my enjoyment? Ah well, maybe it'll improve, I still have until the 8th here, then I go to Vegas until the 15th, so two more weeks. Not that I'm complaining; getting out of the house for once feels so great, no matter how annoying my family can be sometimes. I really want to do this again next year.

RELISH THESE BLESSINGS SEDIEA
RELISH THEM I SAY!!!!!!!
I'M RELISHING THEM...!!
I'M RELISHING!!!!

I honestly don't mind heat, it's the humidity that kills me. This...I can deal with this, and my sunburns always turn into a tan after a few days. After that I don't burn, just peal, which is less painful. <3

Would you like a post card or gaudy gift from here or Vegas? I'm already getting one for Xic and Aelph. Shopping for people is fun, and I trust you enough not to come and stalk me. ;D
Good, good. ;)

Ugh, humidity is terrible. Most of California has very dry heat, so I'm not used to it and I'm going to die in DC next month. :') But tans are good. ♥

Sure, that would be neat. :D A postcard/gaudy gift from either is fine with me, whichever you'd prefer to send. (And I can get you something when I'm in DC/Gettysburg this summer too, if you want!)
DC? Crap, so close, yet so far... But sure, that would be awesome. ^_^ (We just need to trade addresses. ;D)
One of my best friends and her family moved to Williamsburg a year or so ago, so I'll probably be in the area sooner or later when I'm visiting her. ;) (Sounds good to me!)
